No fair! Send some up to the Catskills or at least the Poconos!

This thing has the potential to dump more than that if the conditions are right. I don't think they really know for sure how much this will bring. But yes, we should see a good foot here at 7S.

You know I'm on the first lift tomorrow morning!

Boy did we get DUPED on this deal!

We ended up getting SQUAT. It's 7 am, 15 miles from 7 Springs, there's *maybe* 1/4" of new snow out there. What a rip-off.

I think it came here.

We have been getting dumped on, and I just spent 3 hours digging out in some really fluffy stuff. I made plans to go skiing today, but roads are closing and it isn't worth the 2 hour drive in normal weather, to make it a 5 hour drive in this.

Beautiful powder snow, and me stuck at home. Sigh.

There's always Tomorrow!

You don't actually think sick days are for getting sick? Just call it a floating (powder) holiday. I have a feeling this one will be worth it.

AtomicMark,

I'll believe it when I see it. We've seen so many forecasts for "severe snowstorms" this year that did nothing that it's ridiculous. As I look outside to 100% blue, sunny skies...I'll be very surprised if we see more than another 2" at most this weekend. This storm had the potential to be HUGE, but I really think it's going to stay well south of us...we'll see though.

Of course, Murphy dictates that we'll get DUMPED with fresh pow now since my wife is icing a twisted knee from the 4" of heavy, wet crap we skied this morning. She may be out of commision all weekend, so it's guaranteed to snow now.

Get ready! This storm is shaping up quite nicely with very cold arctic air pushing south and a huge, slowww moving low pressure system re-developing and moving northeast just off the coast. This has all the ingredients of a doozy... measured in feet not inches.

Take Tuesday off!!!

...it's not 12" it only feels like 8"

I'll wait for Mary to tell us how much.

WTFH, Mary may say it feels like 12". We should get about 18" when it's all done.

Taylormatt, This season has been he best in a decade for these parts. Last year that 4" wet muck would have been an epic dump. Sorry to hear about your wife. I hope the season is not lost. If you could arrange for her to sprain her knee in, say, November Seriously, I hope she can enjoy the rest of the weekend. Tomorrow is a Holiday and if your employer doesn't give the day off, I recommend you call off to honor our Presidents. It is the Patriotic thing to do

I'm self employed and had already planned on skiing all 3 days. I'm taking my wife to the ER for an Xray in a few. I don't think she did any damage, but I want to be sure. We have Steamboat coming up in 2 weeks, have to think about that.

It's dumping here now, if it keeps up we could easily see the forecasted 15-21" here. Looks like I'm gonna be plowing the neighborhood instead of skiing. :

I chose to stay home today The last time I ventured out ahead of the snow plows, I hit a concrete median strip (impatient jerk + slow drivers = accident). Bent a tie rod end and a strut and I still need to align the beast too. Oh well, there goes all my income and then some from Ski School pay. Tomorrow should be great

Things here in Bucks Co ,Pa are just starting to kick off at 1:00 PM. Skiing on the tube and snow falling. Life is good!

Well, I'm down here by Dulles airport, and around 4pm today, I had 15"=17" in my front yard, and it's going to keep snowing like this until 6am tomorrow, then snow and flurries on and off until tomorrow evening!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I think I'm going to have to miss work tomorrow. I feel the white flu coming on!

Total storm accumulations by Monday evening will be in excess of two feet near and to the South of route 22. Sweeeeeet! Looks like I am getting dumped on. Hopefully class will be cancelled and I can get some gear, cause mine happens to be an hour away. :
Well, 15 miles from 7S, we got 18" yesterday, with up to 6 more on it's way. The local news is saying 7S got 36", if they got that report from 7S...well it's more like 24". Either way skiing should be good. Saturday's snow was wet and heavy. Absolute crap. Yesterday's snow was much much lighter. Not exactly pow, but light and skiable.
Awe Jezz there is 10" in my driveway this morning. Snow belongs on the hill not in my driveway.
Argh!!!Laurel Mountain had to close today. TOO MUCH SNOW : : : : State road crews have not plowed the Summit Road or the access road. No one can get in to dig out lifts, let alone the paying customers. Looks like it's off to 7 Springs. At least I won't have to work.
Well, It has finally made it to the mountains!

'Snowing hard right now, I was just considering the right wax for my phat skies in anticipation of the floating holiday presenting it'self for tomorrow! It is likely to get warmer than the 10 degrees it is now, I just hope the roads are cleared in the morning.

I've got $10 passes for anyone who can meet at the ticket window at 8:00 tomorrow morning!

3.5 foot drifts in the driveway. My back is killing me. Just started snowing nicely now again with maybe 18" on the ground (near LVI airport... Allentown). Blue Mt. should have some new snow tonight for tomorrow. They were surprisingly open today and just closed. I love snow!!
Well, the snow came and went, all 49" of it!!!! Wisp was under more snow than it has in a long time! It was crazy...for the mid-atlantic at least. Hopefully it just stays cold, so we don't get the rain later this week!
