Peter Keelty says this about the Head i.Monster 82:
"Attention technically-grounded deep snow skiers (who also spend some time on the groomed):
"There simply is no more versatile ski made for your situation. The 82 handles deep snow with aplomb, blows away crud and junk, is remarkably nimble (despite its girth) in all but the most demanding bumps, earned an ice rating and carves like a cross ski on the groomed, once you adjust to the transition time-lag caused by its width. I will be on this ski a lot this season and recommend it without reservation to anyone who lives near Whistler, Jackson, Squaw, Snowbird/Alta, Jay Peak, Vail, Chamonix or the interior Canadian Rockies. Etc. "
The quote is from his subscription site...well worth the money for anyone planning an equipment purchase.
That said, you may want to read Noodler's review on this ski today. He disagrees pretty strongly. And I have yet to find a Head ski that doesn't just lie there like a dead plank.
