Become an Epic Ski Supporter today!

This is should be my 500th post, so I've decided to do something a little different. After three years of lurking around this site, receiving invaluable information, making all kinds of new friends, occasionally being flamed on, and all the other delightful things that go with the barking bears, I am announcing that I decided to go the full mile and actually become an Epic Ski supporter today as an early Christmas present to myself.

For anyone else lurking out there I strongly encourage you to join. If you are a skier there is no other place quite like this on the web.

Consider this my early Christmas card to all of you. Peace, good turns, and above all a "White Christmas" to everyone.

All the best,

Viking Kaj

Thanks, I get so confused with all the choices these days.

Hope you don't think that will change by becoming a supporter; it sure hasn't helped me!

Thank you, Viking Kaj. I will send you a formal thank you note when I get back to my office.

If you keep bringing lighter fluid and matches to the party, someone is going to put them to use.:

I got a good chuckle out of that one.

It's dangerous to play with those two things... you could get burned.

Actually I kind of like being flamed, it makes me feel warm all over. Does this make me bad? Maybe I need to be punished...

hey Kaj, you're not the only one, I pretty much guilted myself into donating as well. I figured it was the least I could do since I've been on here quite a while as well.

But you have to be careful not to block the cookies...

You can also become an Epic supporter by donating! Donate something of substance that we can auction off and wallah! Supporter Status!

PM me for details and what you got that we can auction off!

Don't forget being a supporter can pay. The most recent deal is 15% off at Backcountry.com, but we enjoy discounts on tuning supplies, books, and we are trying to increase the value of membership all the time. Of course, you do need to be a supporter, and your membership status will show up on your posts and private messages.

I figured it was about time I gave a little (or more) love to the community rather than keeping it all for myself. Although I lurk more than I post here some of you may know that I work at Backcountry.com. I've been meaning to pass along a little savings to the Epic community by way of a hook up code, at least to those that would like one.

Or course if you frequent a local shop or buy gear from another online retailer, by all means stick with the home team.

But if some of you are headed to BC.com anyway to get some gear you might as well be able to tell your wife/husband/partner/bf/gf that all your time spent/wasted on the Epic board is paying off in actual savings. At least, that's the basic idea behind the rationalization.

Anyway, if you'd like to get a code of your own for roughly 15% off of just about anything on the site (a couple of brands <Oakley, TNF> won't allow for discounting of any kind), let me know by sending me a PM with your name (the real one) and an e-mail address to attach to the code.

This offer is for the supporting members only.

One piece of advice. To further help support EpicSki.com be sure to click through one of the Backcountry.com banners or links on this site to begin shopping. This way a percentage of your purchase will help "the man" to keep the lights on.
