UMM, no. I particularly like his comment that if you do it yourself, at least it's done right. It is full of inacuracy and hearsay, sounds like somebody with no training, got a pair of skis and bindings, maybe watched a tech do it, read how to do it on TGR or such, figured it out, and wrote down how he thought it should be done.
First of all that is not the way to check forward pressure. Will his way work, maybe, if lucky. there's an indicator on every binding, be it the adjusting screw being flush or to a mark or a window with an indicator, that will yield exact
He gives no mention of centering the binding to the edge(not the topsheet).
He says to drill 8mm deep. it should be 9.1mm and does 5/16 equal 4.5mm, close but not quite. His comment about drilling too short a hole will result in not being able to tighten down the screw, truth is it will either strip out the hole, or dimple the base (Push the P-TEX off the core of the ski).
That's just off the top of my head after a quick scan, I'm sure there other errors.
Will this mounting method work, maybe, sort of. will it be as exact as using a jig and the proper drill shoulder bit, no way, I don't care how many times you measure before cutting.
