Help, Does anyone know the name of the song that plays as the credits roll at the end of the Chevy truck Ski World program?
If so who is that by?
any info would greatly be appreciated.

I tried to find that out awhile back. I asked Bob Beattie's brother, Zeno, I think it was. He wasn't saying and I guess they weren't interested in letting it get around. I never could find out.
Is that show being aired again? Is it new or reruns? I have several on tape.

Hey slatz, sorry about the tardiness of this reply; it seems the off season runs a bit long in michigan.
I have no idea if they plan to air it again. I used to catch the show sporadically sometimes in the winter, but only when I wasn't busy skiing myself. why watch skiing when you can actually go skiing is my philosophy. Spectators are for baseball and car accidents.

Here's a question: Is there any clue about the shows theme song in the credits of those episodes you caught on tape?
I myself had a recorded episode, but i taped over most of the credits in my haste to tape delay an olympic event (more than it already was).

Again any info (from anyone) is certainly appreciated.

I think the name is on there somewhere. I'm pretty busy right now getting things in order for the season. I have to go through tapes before Thanksgiving. I'll put that on my list to do.
Why don't you PM me so I don't have to look up this thread.

I used to work for ESPN, so I know connections there. I sent an email and hopefully someone will get back to me about it. I'll let you know as soon as I hear from them!

That would be cool. Keep us posted.
I haven't forgotten, I just haven't found it yet. This camp is really taking a lot of time.

It would be intersting to find out the words to the theme.

Did anyone ever find out, what the words are?

Funny, this thread just came into my mind yesterday.
I can get the words from some old tapes if I ever get time.

A man can't recall when he first learned to fall
Or the time when he learned how to fly
But the dream is the thing, both his anchor and wings
It's his .... and the flame in his eye
Oh the wisdom is reaching far beyond what you see
and the triumph is seeking all the best you can be
So delight in the journey and the struggle it seems
as the spirit is learning did we rise with our dreams
A man is the sum of the living he's done
and the choices he's made in his time
to the left or the right through the dark or the light
given earth, how he yearns for the sky
Oh the wisdom is reaching far beyond what you see
and the triumph is seeking all the best you can be
etc...
There were only two verses
I think the last show had the title and the artist listed.

Running all those old tapes in my VCR somehow screwed it up. I broke two. That's all for now.

Smoked another VCR last night. Tape must be bad or something. I think the missing word is sole.

Took the VCRs in for repair and they had a reconditioned one for $39. Hardly worth having them fixed.
Now if I can just get those tapes fixed.

I believe the  "As we rise with our dreams" is by artist is John Jarvis. He is a folk/new age singer.

Unfortunately I have searched his catalog with no luck. Too bad. It is a beautiful song.

On the subject of show music. Does anyone know the artist who did "White line ballet"? It was either on ski world or a Warren Miller movie. A scene of a guy and his siberian husky heading down a trail with snow falling. The dog was running along side him.

The song is “We Rise with Our Dreams”.

The artist in the ESPN show:  John Jarvis (or Joe Henry?)

An MP3 version of the  song can be found in:
