thumbs up for vancouver. Lived there as an exchange students when I was 19 and it was the best year of my life !!!!!!!
BUT, global warming is affecting skiing there more than other locations, due to low altitude and coastal climate.
Grouse Mountain, where I used to ski lots as a kid (back yard of North Vancouver), is now extremely iffy. They've had increasingly shorter, and wetter ski seasons. Long-term plans are to lessen reliance of skiing, and make it more of a scenic tourist attraction.
Seymore Mountain has had similar problems.
I don't know what the long-term data is on Whistler. But, with a base elevation close to sea-level, I wouldn't be surprised if they're also experiencing changes in weather patterns.
PS: I'm not talking about what happened last week or next. I'm referring to long-term climate and weather patterns.
