Bought my wife a pair of 2005/06 Volkl Attiva AC2 at 149cm. She is 5'4", 128, cautious but athletic skier. Tecnica V6 Attiva Ultrafit Boots. They were 265 bucks, so it was a pretty sweet deal compared to other prices I have seen (they were demoed last season).

The other ski I could have bought--and still can are the Attiva S1's in the same length for 20 bucks more. From what I see on Volkl's website, the S1's are described as an "entry level carving ski," where as the AC2's are skis she can "grow into."

Thoughts from anyone appreciated.
