How to repair delaminated velcro?

I have a Moonstone Nemesis shell:

I washed it the other day, and the velcro that cinches the sleeve cuffs came unlaminated (I followed the washing and drying instructions correctly). The rough/stiff portion of the velcro (not the fuzzy portion, if that makes sense), has two layers and those two layers split apart.

I could return this jacket to STP, but they don't carry it anymore and may not have anything as good at that price point.

It looks easy enough to fix myself. What sort of glue might fix it durably?

Super glue.

Super glue isn't flexible and will eventually breakdown when used with fabrics. I recommend Barge cement or Goop. They stay flexible.

contact cement

Barge cement should work well. Another alternative is Pliobond, a high performance contact cement. Pliobond may be less messy to work with on a a piece of clothing because it comes in a bottle with a brush applicator. The stuff gives a really strong but flexible bond.

needle and thread?

Have someone sew it with a sewing machine. Stronger stitch, more consistant stitchline. Contact me if you need help.

shoe goop/speedy stitcher...

I have actually used contact cement to more or less fix exactly the same problem. It held up one side for quite a while so far and needed a re-do on the other (probably because I wasn't careful to cement the end real good). This was ordinary run-of-the-mill cement so anything a bit more pliable might be better. I'm thinking of adding a couple of stitches at the end to limit peel-back (probably nylon thread), but haven't gotten around to it.

I noticed later model Cloudveils have added stitching reinforcment.

seam-grip. buy it for fixing tents. I use it to repair the slits on my pants from my edges. It's like rubber.

Thanks for the tip. I definitely need some of this stuff.

Thanks, folks! I had some contact cement already, so I used that. So far, so good. If that doesn't work, I'll try seam-grip and/or stitching.
