We are building a Frequently Asked Questions list for what a beginner should know to take part in our sport. We include skiers and snowboarders.

Please give us some of your ideas for FAQ's that we can put in our new forum.

Those are a good start.. Word them simply and in questions.

What is the ski code?
What should I be aware of safetywise?
Examples from your ideas . You already brought up some we hadn't thought of. Nice.

Yeah.

Like: WTFH = Wear The Fox Hat.

NOT a quizzical "R"-rated phrase you mutter after catching an edge and dumping yourself on perfectly groomed green slopes.

Woulda saved myself a lot of mental anguish if that had been in the Epic glossary to start with...

1. why entry level skis are best for learning?
2. what to look for in beginner's equipment?
3. why ski boots are the most importment and rental boots are inferior?
4. buy vs. seasonal rental vs. daily rental? what is the break off point?
5. basic skills/techniques (stance, turning, stopping, etc.)
