LGC Preseason Training CampThanks to ssh for a great day and my debut as a ski videographer. Unfortunately, I don't think I will be giving Sven Nyquist, much less Warren Miller, anything to worry about anytime soon.
The snow was good, especially for less than a week after Halloween. No tricks and all treats, they had the mountain open from the top of Storm King to the bottom.
The photo shows Tucker Mountain and the back bowls which are maybe a dump or two away from being ready to go. So if you can find a good price on a flight don't hesitate. There is plenty to ski as it is, and if it snows you could hit the jackpot.
The highlight of the day for me, other than getting to photog ssh, was a new pair of FIS legal Dynamic VR-17's. Review is to follow, but they were fun.
Since the last day I skied last year was ssh's birthday party at Vail with the LGC II crew (remember the birthday nachos?), it kind of felt like things are picking up right where they ended last year.
I'm looking forward to getting more turns with more bears soon. Until then, think snow everybody!
