I need to put new bindings on a ski that has already been drilled once and the bindings for which it was drilled are no longer available. The boot size is the same. Is it best to add a different brand binding with as different a footprint as possible in order to maintain greater ski integrity. It seems that with a different brand the new holes will have less proximity to the existing plugged holes. Or, does close proximity of the old and new holes not matter that much as long as the old ones are properly plugged? I noted that the toe piece of the same brand binding is close to the old holes but not so close that the old holes can be used. Thanks in advance.
