Do they just think we are stupid going about our business? Is it really some kind a victory if the Olympics result in massive loss of Life?

Unless we wish to forego air travel, choose not to evacuate all populous urban areas, end all stadium sports and other stadium events such as rock concerts and Billy Graham Crusades, avoid marshal law, avoid gathering of Congress in one place, avoid meetings of larger congregations in houses of worship or meditation of any and all religions, beliefs, sects or denominations, and a complete obliteration of our life's pleasures and purposes - then of course we and all others on the planet will be, as you say, "sitting ducks". That's how terrorism works, you know - it prays on innocent, vulnerable people because they're easy, helpless targets. People of decency actually care about human life, and so through the destruction of the lives of innocent "easy pickings", they affect all of us, as their perpetrators intend them to do. Yes, that's terrorism. Will all good citizens of the world, including citizens of the greatest country on earth, allow terrorism to succeed by allowing it to destroy or control the lives of the living? If you're wondering what the answer to this question is or ought to be, then you haven't been paying attention. LET THE GAMES BEGIN!
