Since nobody else has asked, why is that a con? Is it analogous to "lots of snowboarders"?
Seriously, read the end of the post :
(PS : Xenophobic, tongue in cheek, comments meaning that Les Ménuires are one of the few resorts in les 3 vallées where you may actualy meet some real french people. )
I got nothing against dutch people (or any nationality actualy). I was just noting that some resorts in L3V (and elsewhere in France, Val d'Isère for instance) have a very large foreign population. Meribel, sometimes, seems more british than french. As a frenchman I couldn't care less. But if one is coming from the states, it may be an interesting information : Those resorts won't provide a very 'french experience'. You may ear more english (or dutch...) than french around you.
I know that I would be disapointed to cross the atlantic to ski in the US, only to find 50% of french speaking people, restaurant menus in french, etc. (ok, that's rather unlikely). Besides skiing I would expect to feel like I'm not at home !
And those pour dutch, they have to go ski abroad anyway...
