The Lodge is an older building, so there is a large variable regarding the level of "nice"; it will be dependent exclusively upon the individual owners and their individual renovations. If you know the exact unit and it is a refurb, keep it in the mix. If you are "assigned" a unit, I would move this off the top position.
Eagle Ridge Lodge is a very strong contender. They have a phenomenal private shuttle. We stayed there, having never NOT been ski-in/ski-out and were wickedly impressed with the promptness and professionalism of the shuttle (used it everywhere from skiing to evening partying). Newer property with a keen understanding of "mountain luxury". Great facilities, too. The downside is they offer studios, 2 BR, 3 BR units but no 1 BRs. The studios are not my scene and I hate paying for an extra bedroom (our trips are also just my husband and me).
The Grand has a very good location, is again "newer", but I have not stayed there so I only have an external take on the property. Close to gondola area.
I would suggest checking out either Aspen Lodge at Trappeur's Crossing or Timberline at Trappeur's Crossing, too. Aspen Lodge at Trappeur's Crossing opened in 2006. Location is walk-able to base area (more so for après-ski than skiing) but again has a spectacular shuttle. Timberline at Trappeur's also delivers "mountain luxury" just on a slightly older bent than Aspen Lodge or Eagle Ridge. However, Timberline DOES have 1 BR condos (with jacuzzi tub). Aspen and Timberline use the same shuttle and share heated pool and Jacuzzis (nice variety, indoor and out, easy to have one to yourself). They are a quick walk to a great little grocery store with killer baked goods and Boars Head deli.
Hope this helps!
