Prices are the same for one guide, but they have a $10 savings when you order two. 90% of the time, I find RRS to be cheaper than everyone else, I just get burned on the sales tax because I live in New York (that's what family in New Jersey is for
The beast is OK for the $ . They are pretty hard to beat for hopw cheap they are. .
the only issue with the Beast & SVST base bevelers is if your skis have any concavity in the tip or tail, the glide on botth will sit down in that concave low spot and you won't get enough base bevel in those areas.
I have the Base of Beast, 3 SVST final cut's and I also use TOKO's WC Base bevel alot. It spans the concave areas and gives you a truer bevel. It is also a hair cheaper then SVST. But they don't make a .7 http://reliableracing.com/detail.cfm...&category=2000
Also might want to check out www.race-werks.com
. They were the official SVST retailier.
the other site that is really good is www.holmenkol.us
. I use their short and also their fine files. Look in the Racing Alpine, edge section. Also check out the Tech section great info. Dave Pezek has written many articles in Ski Racing mag.
