Anybody have experience with this brand's clothing? STP has their Transmission pants on sale in short sizes (important to me) but still not cheap. Worth it?

Very, very popular with high-end ski shops in Switzerland.

I looked at quite a bit of their stuff while we were over there a month ago. Some pretty nice items.

I have a day pack made by Mammut that I think is peaches. Really well thought-out features and construction.

Great gear, super quality

I have some Mammut gear and it's great. Very resistent, light and it looks good too. I don't know about their backpacks, tents aso, but the clothing is just great.

I have been visiting Austria annually for the past six years and my hiking/climbing friends there all have a considerable number of pieces of Mammut gear. It is very well thought of there and seems to be well designed and durable.

I've been around some guides who wear their gear...looks like high quality stuff.

I've tried on Mammut stuff at STP in Reno (where I live) -- seems nicely made. Pants don't fit me well though -- ones that were large enough through the thigh were huge at the waist; if they fit at the waist, they were tiny through the thigh.

If you have skinny legs, they'll fit you better.
