Either way it is pretty cool, and I may hit Snowbird just to ride the magic tunnel carpet!
There are many other reason to ski there
a couple of reasons why the quad wasnt run to the top.
1. Ridgetop winds the quad can run when the tram cant.
2. nothing on the ridgeline to see. Better for the visual enviroment.
3. cuts out the steepest narrowest parts of "chips run" and cuts out the steepest part of lupine loop in mineral. Also give people without tram tickets, access to mineral without taking path to paradise down the Mineral Basin lifts.
4. Easier and faster access for anyone to mineral regardless of abilty.
5. the tunnel is cool
6.but above IMO it was access and flow of lifts of why they ran that lift where they did.
