Happy birthday, Oboe! Hope you get lots of great presents, including a week off work Jan. 20.

Obes,

You were there from the start of my Epic days, and you're still here for me now. I hope to ski with you every year until they cart one of us off to the 'home'.

Happy Birthday to one of the most inspiring people I know.:

I guess I should have a whiskey to celebrate...

Don't turn GREENE trying to match drinks with WTFH, but do enjoy.

Just another excuse for Benetton to get some new skis.

Have a great day my good friend.

I sat around on my Birthday a few weeks ago and thought, ya I'm not as young as I was, but I can still do everything I did as a young man. Good thing my Wife couldn't readmy mind, I'm sure she'd have an argument for that.

Hey, we're old farts here aren't we. Hope you have many more Oboe.

Happy birthday, my friend!

Happy Birthday Oboe. How old now, 39 and holding? Sounds more like Jack's violin.

Happy, Happy!

GEE! THANKS!

I'm only sixty-five years old, and I can't keep up with my buddy in the trees - he's seventy-five. Give me ten more years of on-snow experience, and those trees will be mere slalom poles.

Another birthday - love it! Sure beats the alternative!

Mucho thanks, Jeff. Do you remember the pre-Bonni days when you first skied with me at Smuggs? And the Bonni day when we she, you and I skied in the rain? And I hope you're still happy with the results of that warm, foggy day at Stowe . . . what was the date?

Thank you so much, nolo. You couldn't keep me away from Aspen that time of year! Wifey even has presented me with a Bogner [can you imagine THAT?! BOGNER?!] jacket. I can't wear it at Smuggs with a straight face, and so it's coming with me to ESA.

. . . and I suppose you'll demand that we have opposing cells at "the home" so that you can heckle me more easily through the bars .

Thanks, Bonni. Ask Jeff if he still thinks my work near the Stowe mountain chapel that foggy day was a good thing. I only guarantee the legal result - you guys are responsible for the rest of the story.

Thank you, trek, and they'll be happier at ESA Eastern Weekend. Brace yourself for an exciting ride to Stowe in the Silver Bullet . . . but less exciting that it would have been without my day-early birthday gift from a really, really courteous Vermont State Police trooper. He really shouldn't have. I already have enough of those to wall paper this house. Damn! See what happens when we don't have snow to express our need for speed?!

Sure, just don't dip into mine so early! . . . which reminds me . . . how will you manage to transport the heavenly spirits by air?

Thanks, Fox.

This will be no problem, Kneale, if he's buying. Thanks for the warning and good wishes.

Very funny, smart a$$. Like, I need an excuse.: You spelled my name wrong . Any more of that talk and I'll teach motor boat man to call you "Jim".

Thanks, old friend. I do object, however, to the term "old farts". Wifey will tell you that I replenish mine fresh and new several times a day.

Thanks, Rob. Will you be making your seasonal trek to Jay or otherwise come to Vermont? I think is was you, Fox, sno'more, Bob the Builder, and I who were in the original Barking Beavers squad with nolo and the irrepresible Ziggy at ESA The First.
