If you mean I may be a legit new guy. Duh!
I own two pair of skis with the combined value of maybe $100.00
I have skied maybe 50 times in my life.
I have skied a cumulative total of 30 minutes off-piste
I just learned a few weeks ago that skis bases should be flat
And my wife and I opened a ski shop three months ago!
Bought a $5000 waxing machine!
I have 40 brand new rental skis, a Vermont calibrator, $2600 in ski tuning equipment, and I barely have a clue what I am doing! HAR HAR HAR!!!!
And if you don't believe me check our website (in developmental stage) http://mudcreekoutdoorgear.com/

Oh yeah! I'm a new guy. And I'm loony as they come
And thanks for the 411 on SAC

Oh, and someone please tell me whether I should get some longer skis.

Please forgive my abruptness. I am under some stress and I don't sleep much. I would like to learn.

Awesome! Welcome. Enjoy the on the job training! Do you need a ski tuner to go with that nice new waxer?:
Yes, I need an entire crew of highly trained, lowly paid, skilled professionals to help me pay for my new waxer!

Thanks for the welcome.

And now I will check out SAC and probably find gear cheaper than I can buy it through my store. Life is wonderful. Ski it like you stole it, as they say. I'm still waiting for Brundage to open.

Cheers! I did get a free apron with my $5000 waxing machine!

Elan MO2 for $200 with full warranty and satisfaction guarantee (full credit toward a replacement purchase). Whether or not I'll like them is unknown at this point (that'll be remedied tomorrow at Jane).

Bob Peters was nice enough to sell his 188cm Dynastar Inspired by Nobis (a.k.a. 8800) with Look demo bindings for $125. The bases are perfect and the topsheet and edges show about 30 days of use.

Thanks Bob.

I negotiated a deal at the Toronto Ski show for my girlfriend's brother. New 186 Legend Pro’s with Look PX-14 bindings for $900CAN including tax.

Pretty good deal I guess. He was a happy camper, and I got to score big points with the girl...

My best deal of the year was becoming an agent for a ski hill and getting an employee pass for the season. 50-60 hours of work during the year for free skiing (and cheap coffee at the hill

Yes, good thing you posted that, you wouldn't want a limited number of people to know about it, then the great deals would go to the ones in the know.:
