Wine Women & Wax

In a world where forums like this have threads enquiring about the gender gap, the lack of women who take the sport seriously, and wether or not the women have quivers that measure up to their male counterpart, I am encouraged to see my favorite ski/bike shop start an annual event called Wine Women & Wax
It is being described like this:

Quote:
Please join us for an exciting evening of great wine, amazing women and HOT wax. Meet and mingle with women of all ages who like you, want comfort, safety and convenience for all of our active sports.

25%*OFF Merchandise
the Night of the Event

In honor of other amazing women, ALL proceeds from
our silent auction will go to the Women's Resource
Center. So, please join us for our first annual Wine,
Women and Wax.
Kudos to Brick Wheels for starting something like this!
I think this is something I must do!

I'll volunteer to wax women drinking wine. As long as I can choose my waxmates.
Or wax women's skis while they drink wine and hang out. That sounds fun.
I'm kind of fond of wines, women and waxes

But sadly Bob is so right. Some kind of private affair? I'll bring my waxing tools. But here I am in Dogpatch

The original Post was about ski wax, but I'm not sure that's what they are posting about now

The original idea of this thread was to expose a great idea a shop is having to get/keep women enthused.

The direction of the thread is extremely entertaining.

Its fun either way you look at it!

Hey, whether it's for ski wax, leg wax, or bikini wax, seems like a great way to get women who love skiing together -- and into the ski shop -- for a great cause.

Other ski shops should take note.

I'm here to say that's one of the best thread title ever.

Sure, they iron out all the wrinkles and get you away from the daily grind.

Hope you have a good time and hang onto your purses. My wife was planning to attend until she talked to her boss about that place. Her boss wanted to buy some parts for a bike her parents gave her kid, but Brick wouldn't order them even though they carried the same bike because her parents had purchased the bike where they live instead of from Brick. When she told me about her boss, I pointed out that Brick was the place I paid $100 years ago for some footbeds their shop guy couldn't finish because the boss wanted him to work on setting up bikes for the summer. I threw the unfinished footbeds away and went to a shop that was interested in doing the job correctly.

Kneale, that is a bit odd compared with my experience At Brick Wheels.
I bought my bike there instead of here in Cadillac because Brick nearly did back flips to fit me for my bike, find the right size and gave me a great deal. I've never had service issues with anything bike related.
Recently I had a big issue when they "free had" mounted bindings on my Teledaddys, incorrectly, but they even went the extra mile to make me whole in that situation.

Some things just make you say, "huh?"
Sorry you had bad experiences there.
