Sorry if I've offended anyone. I just wanted a title that would encourage people to look at this thread, whether to defend or bash Park City. We're planning our ski trip out west this year, and we had originally decided on Aspen, but now I think we are leaning to Park City. My concern is that of all the great skiing in Utah, for snow conditions and overall challenge, Deer Valley, The Canyons, and Park City consistently score at the bottom of the list. I've even read some reviews at other forums saying The Canyons in particular is a second rate mountain with iffy snow due to the lack of altitude. Then on the other spectrum I've seen that both Deer Valley and Park City score very highly in mountain reviews in both Ski and Skiing Magazine, and read other reviews about the Canyons saying it's one of the best mountains. We're heading out the second week in January. Just a little background, our last two trips have been to Alta Snowbird, which I loved, and Jackson Hole, which was an awesome mountain, but given the combo of the steeps and the heavier powder, was a little challenging for me, but still left a smile on my face. Any response will be greatly appreciated.
