fill this out if you fall when you're trying to put on your gloves

There's not enough fall data being collected here, but it sure seems that there's a lot of falling going on.
Let's not get hurt out there!

It's flawed I tell you!

There's no question to the first one, and do you mean Autumn?

Who is Autumn? Does she post here?
I know it's flawed--the only times we poll each other on that other board are when we're trying to stab each other with ski poles.
Thanks for your votes--I hope to publish a comprehensive study before too long.

While you may call it Fall, over here, we call the season between Summer and Winter "Autumn". If you want to collect data on Autumn, be my guest.

My bruises look like celebrities that oppose the war. I'm not sure about the sili-sacs or sali-sacs. I want all to know that my bruise's opinions are their own and do not neccessarily reflect the view of their owner.

What was the question?

</font>[/quote]I still say I've never met Autumn, but if she's falling a lot then that's her problem.
Speak English like we do in America!

In question 1, one can answer to using (or falling with) only one right glove, but more than one left glove (note the response specifically cites "left gloves "). This unfairly biases the responses to the left gloved fallers (or to those with two left hands).
I have two left feet, but I never start skiing without having both gloves in place.

Re: Season Nomenclature: Some of us call the season between autumn and winter Indian Summer. Of course, I grew up and still live in a region where we have ski HILLS instead of mountains.

You guys who get "celebrity" bruises are pushing too hard. You need to learn to relax.

I had a pair of trousers once that fitted me like a pair of gloves. But I've still no idea what the other 3 legs are for...

Damn. I don't know how to do this poll. I mean, I fall once every 2.7 days (std. deviation +/-0.2) and I am a 40+ expert skier who is dissatisfied with pay but not in favor of a union, and I like Rossi bindings but I have some Markers that are just fine, and I never thought of turning my boot liners inside out to dry them, but I still can't figure it out because, well, I have two pair of gloves! Which pair do I use for the poll?

"See, how she leans her cheek upon her hand! O that I were a glove upon that hand, that I might touch that cheek!"

What have you against left handed people?
I always fall while wearing the right glove, er the wrong...

Ich habe zwei linkshanden und zehn daumen, so was?

Daevious,
You're confusing me, so could you clarify a few points...

OK, until this post, I always thought that experts are 10, and the scale goes from 1 to 10 (or 1-9, or there are no experts... please see other threads for this one). Now you're saying you're a 40+! What level of expert do you think you are? I mean, even Bob Barnes is only an 11.

Now, based on these figures, and allowing 5 minutes per day to put on gloves (morning, lunch + 2x restroom breaks), that means that the probability of your fall coinciding with gloves going on is 1 in 777.6. This equates to you falling as a result of putting on your gloves once every 2099.52 days. Since this number is less than infinity, it means you could fall when putting on your gloves.
So, the next question is: which hand is most likely the culprit? Unless you are 100% ambidextrous, then the guilty hand is most likely your dominant one. So, if you are right handed, then your left hand will be less effective at putting the glove on the right hand.

I really have to question whether you are intelligent enough to fill out this poll. And then you surpassed yourself in idiocy...

It is obvious, even to a dead amoeba, that when using a computer, if you must wear gloves (such as to prevent finger prints), that using thin gloves is preferable to mashing 5 keys at a time with each finger of lined ski gloves. Perhaps the best gloves to use for this poll are fingerless cycle gloves, as they will give you maximum finger accuracy and not restrict movement.

Now, has anyone got a worthwhile question about the poll?

How come there's nothing in the poll for those of us who wear mittens with pride?

As for the second question in the poll - I haven't had it done (still thinking about it) but I could send you some of my plasticine for you to play with.

DB,
You don't need to have it done, you're a big enough tit as it is!

Hey, the whole freaking post was a non sequitur, how can I offer clarification? : Now I feel like I AM matching wits with a dead amoeba. Anyway, obfuscation is more my style.

A gigabyte of server space is devoted to arguments about what that even means, and you want to subdivide it into levels!? :

Not to get all existential about it or anything, but "I think I am, therefore I must be."

I only wear gloves cos if I don't, my hands turn into dried up leathery claws. So I only wear thin ones. and often forget to put them on after taking them off. I do wear gloves more often than hats though.
ant,
How do you hold your poles if you've got hat's on your hands? :

S
The hats are generally to be found in the Hat Drawer, where they belong. Sometimes I'll wear one in my pocket. If I wish to ski in disguise (committing evil acts like skiing places we are not meant to) I will wear a hat. No one recognises me then!
