CO snow report

Thread Starter
Anyone have any idea how much snow fell in the various resort towns over the past 24 hours?

i drove from grand county to loveland and then boulder today.

this morning the grand county side of berthoud had two or three inches from 10k to 11k. there was appreciably more snow on the clear creek side.

loveland reported four inches overnight. it snowed there all day.

on the way to the front range it began snowing at georgetown. i'm in boulder county now and i would say four to six inches has fallen here.

it's just a good old fashioned upslope

Did I-70 close today? I heard it was for a while but it's open now, I think. Here's a link to the local news story about the snow that hit the high country http://cbs4denver.com/topstories/loc...290190425.html

The hill between Georgetown & Silverplume was closed due to slippage and slide-age of cars.

There is a solid 4" of snow in central Denver making it a very bright & glowing night. Not bad for the first snow of the season, especially for the city!

Channel 9 just reported EB I-70 is closed now right by Loveland--jack-knifed semi, but WB appears ok. They said the worst of the storm has passed and that Loveland may be opening some new runs depending on how much snow they get.

It looks like a good year for wolf creek so far. They also put in a new high speed Quad

Did the quad replace another lift, or is it new?
It replaced the old double with a detachabe chair. It is the lift farthest right when looking up the mountain.
