Who has the best worst quiver?

Thread Starter
How about the ultimate quiver of rock skis?
I’d love to see some superior competition in demonstrating one-upsmanship amongst your worst skis. Seriously. These skis must be skis you will/could USE to save your better skis. Ones that could be pulled out right now and clicked in to (none of that bearclaw stuff, unless you have pics to prove it). Who has the best worst quiver? Pics encouraged.

ps - It's snowing in Golden.

I bite, 2 year old Volkl AC3's with only 25 days skiing on them (replaced by Stockli Stormriders).

A creative thread!

Unfortunately, I'm too much of a gear-hound to qualify.

Although, I do have an old pair of Volant T-3's, 187 cm, that I could, and would use, on base-shredding days. Not much to brag about.

I guess I have a pair.

They're circa 1982ish Rossignols. The grey/white/red VAS models (I think they were their recreational ski). All I remember is that I got 'em dirt cheap at Any Mountain because they'd been drilled once. Other'n that, they were really, really, really slow. Even tuned up they were slow. While not a particularly aggressive or fast skier, these skis were S-L-O-W.

I have them hanging in the ski cabin garage and they usually come out for the New Year's Eve burning flare run at Tahoe/Donner (though the last time my dad and I did this there were too many snowboaring youths with no control who kept slamming into the skiers and sending burning flare every which way but loose).

Then again 1 ski does not a quiver make, right?

To save my good skis?? Sorry, I don't think I qualify to participate in this thread.

Dookie, right on for risking your life but not your good skis among torch bearing snowboarders!

Volkl Vertigo G3's

I have a set of Elan MBX's 193's with Marker M28's on them that I keep around for some reason. Just haven't figured it out yet. But I know I will.......someday

*Edited to add* don't think I've been on them for over 5 years either.

Got a bunch of stuff I don't ski any more. I did just get rid of the closest thing I had to a rock ski...724 Pro's.

K2 810 FO (207) w/Marker M40s, K2 710 FO (204) w/Marker MRRs, K2 TRC Comp (195) w/M41.

Maybe it's time to make some adirondack chairs...

I have a pair of 180cm X-Screams for my normal rock skis, Mid 90’s 195 Viper-X's that I only ski while wearing a floresent jacket and jeans when I want to scare someone.

And... la piece de resistance, 215cm TUA Downhill Race Skis with Marker race bindings from the mid 80’s. Weigh 34lbs total and still the fastest skis I own...

I believe we have a winner!

Hard to compete with that.

I have a pair of Elan SL 205cm with Marker MRR in the basement. Can you believe Slalom boards used to be that long???? I don't know if I'd risk hurting myself to try them but they probably would work if I took the rust off the edges.

Volkl Vertigo Motion 177 - although in the last few years i've lived by the "use it, abuse it, and replace it" policy so I'll be on my top fuels in all eastern conditions

Hey, learntoturn, I always had a pair of Elan 210 cm. Slalom skis... many of our racers used the same ski for SL and GS, just bigger...(due to uniline sidecut) It was one of the best kept secrets here in Park City, Utah... many of the Elan reps skied on these too... I wish I NEVER sold them...great all around ski, and big enough for the deep powder days.
