I just found out about this site as well and just looking around I have realized that I am home. I started skiing two winters ago in Vermont at Stratton Mt and I fell in love with it. People out east told me that haven't skied until I have skied in the west so the next winter I headed out to Utah and got a job working at Deer Valley where I toned in my skills a little more and got into the trees at the end of the season and I just fell in love with skiing even more. While in Utah I skied like 9 other ski resorts and I had a blast....Alta, Brighton, Canyons, PCMR, Powder Mt, Snowbasin, Snowbird, Sundance and Solitude. This winter I am heading to Telluride where I am hoping is just as fun or even better than skiing in Utah. I also just learned that Telluride was ranked #5 according to Ski Magazine so that is pretty cool as well. I hope to head around to the other ski resorts as well and check them out.
I am not an experienced skier and have only been doing it since 2010-11 winter but I have realized that I love skiing and that it is my true passion. I found this out a little later in life at 36 years old but I did find it and I don't have any plans of slowing down anytime soon. I worked at Stratton and Deer Valley as a Ski Tech and will be working at Telluride as a Lift Op. I am trying to learn all aspects of the Mountain so it can improve my skiing overall and my experience. I am looking forward to taking my one hour lunch breaks during the day doing a few runs so I can hopefully get like 75 days of skiing in for the winter. I am also a dork and I include my hours as well. I have skied like 366 hours since I started skiing, I know that is not alot to you more experienced folks that have been skiing forever but I feel that is alot for someone that only has been skiing for two winters and this winter starting his 3rd.
Well anyway I am glad to be here and I hope to learn alot and perhaps meet some people that share the same interests as I do.
