designed by CR Johnson. they look sweet, I'm hoping they're a stiff version of the 1080. combined with the 2 pairs of Atomics I picked up at a swap meet last week, I think this completes my quiver for now.
OK, I was hoping to get some feedback on these skis, so I'll ask straight out. I just found out Atomic will not warranty my broken GS11, so I hit a swap and bought 2 pair, a 186 GS11 race, for those really fast days, and a 180 GS9 for general cruising. I still have my 176 Rossi B1 for everyday use , this used to be my east coast powder ski. I'm planning to use these Salomons for powder days. At 113/79/106mm and 20meter radius, they seem to have enough shape to still turn easily, which I want, but wide enough to float. More shape than the pocket rocket (which I hated, not enough shape), and closer to the original 1080, which I loved. Does anyone know anything about these skis, am I right or should I just turn around and E-bay them?
