Okay, I'm a new member but I've been hanging out at Epicski for a long time. I've never had much to contribute but always appreciated the knowledge of the members. Anyway, now I've got a reason to post a thread and I hope that someone might have some info.

I was out riding my mountain bike on Sunday morning and to make a long story short I ended up in the emergency room with a fractured ankle. So now I've had ankle surgery to set the ankle and I have instructions that there can be no weight bearing on my ankle for the next 4 weeks to be followed by 2 weeks in a "walking cast". It means that for the next 6 weeks I am going to be out of commision. So naturally, I'm a little concerned about my ski season due to really poor fitness. Is there any type of exercise that I can do until the cast comes off or am I pretty much destined to wait and hit the PT hard when everything is healed?
