Yes I have a real thing for the whiskies.

Lagunitas' Little Somethin' Somethin' - this has become one of my favorite local beers by far.  Unmistakably unique.

/\/\/\/\ good stuff.  Had their Censored the other night.  Nice.

I tried there WTF a short time ago and it was really tasty.  I definitely need to try a few more.

I'm fortunate to have to drive by "the beer store" on the way home from work. It's a great place with over 500 beers. Twice a week they do beer tasting and last week they had Lagunitas for the tasting. They are more into IPA's than I am but they are good IPA's. Left with some "Censored" for further investigation into their quality control. Looking forward to their Fall releases; Stouts.

On the WTF, the rep said they had to go with Wilco for the "W" because there are laws against writing "Whiskey" on a beer bottle. I love the names they pick ; "Hop Stoopid" & "Brown Shugga"

I have heard of that store, are they a chain? I know Greg has something like that in MN and there is one similar in SFCA and in NY state somewhere that Ira went to. That sounds awesome. A great way to occupy a few hours on a rainy day. icon14.gif

I think there is a "The Beer Store" and "the beer store".  Not sure.  The former looks like a chain.  The latter is the one I'm talking about.  Here's the facebook link http://www.facebook.com/thebeerstorenh.  I happen to work with a woman who's daughter is in a relationship with the owner and they are all the nicest of people.  The only negative thing I have to say about the owner is he introduced me to Troubadour Obscura and now I'm hooked on it.

The beer tastings are great because they are usually Thurs and Fri from 5-7.  Guess who drives by at 6 biggrin.gif

Today my glass is half-full; with cold, clear and quenching spring water.

Just had some bottomless rootbeer floats at Red Robin. All the rootbeer floats I could drink for $3.30

Ahhhhhh, nice.  My Local Liquor Store just started carrying High West, but so far only the Son of Bourye.  I spoke with the owner and she's gonna try and expand the line.  The SoB isn't as nice as I remember the Bourye to be, but that's what I'm drinking tonight.

¡Salud!

Have to watch the final round of the open today with a pint or two....

I would love to try their new offerings Valley Tan and Campfire but I haven't been able to find either at any of the places I normally order from.

Limeade with Ketel One in a Tiki Glass.

I tried a great Belgian last night... Ommegang Art of Darkness. I couldn't resist buying it with a name like that and it didn't disappoint when I opened it last night. I just wish they didn't sell their beers ni 750 ml bottles.

Got it mainly to collect some bottles for eventual homemade root beer, but it's pretty good.

I think she used Ginger ale instead of sprite and ginger syrup.

Ah yes. Our resident Englishmen and women will have to chime in, but I think you can use several different things as the mixer, often lemonade (carbonated) or just Sprite. And mint. Mint is good.

Use the rest of your carbonated lemon to make shandies (or radlers, for the German-inclined).

This is way too early to be thinking about such things ... right now it's just coffee.

Mint:  yes this AM on TV they used mint.

Personally I'm really fond of Reed's Ginger Beer, (more ginger than their Ginger Ale, and sweet in a good way), but if you're really into strong ginger taste try Fever-Tree Ginger Beer, if you can find it! BevMo carries it, if you happen to have one of those where you live.

No that's a trick question I think?

how many pairs of skis do you need?  biggrin.gif

Speaking of shandies/radlers if you are in to that sort of thing Sam Adams' Porch Rocker is pretty taste.  Its more beer with a little lemon where I think the Leinenkugel Summer Shandy is more lemon with a hint of beer.

And for all the hop heads out there...Happy International IPA Day
