OMG...good call on the Weihenstephaner. That is the second best heffeweisen I've had. The only problem is that I only bought one bottle so I had to switch to Goose Island Matilda.

Glad you enjoyed it. What was the best?

Still drinking seltzer and lime....  this lyrica sucks... anyone else ever take this shit?  its like drinking 4 beers without the good taste or the fun buzz.. and a hangover type feeling added just for fun

Fresh squeezed orange juice with Sailor Jerry's Spiced Rum plus the juice of one fresh lime.

What are you doing taking Lyrica?   Get back on the booze.  Better pain killer, fewer side-effects.

Its not  pain killer, they figured out I have nerve impingement/damage in my ankle. Lyrica is supposed to help with Nerve issues.

Hocking Hills Hefeweisen from Barrel House in Cincinnati.  It was fantastic as were all of their beers.  Its just too bad they have be closed in 2010.  frown.gif  The brand was sold to another brewery operator and the brew pub was closed to focus on production and bottling. The brewmaster Rick Debar left for Ommegang sometime in 2008.  Now that I know that I can't wait to try their products.

I am reconsidering my position on the Sierra Nevada Kellerweiss. It's actually pretty good but I don't believe it's available in kegs. frown.gif

What wine did we drink Sunday night while you were drinking sparkling water?

That was nice wine

A nice side trip at the end of the Moto tour is the Sierra Nevada Brewery.  No telling what might be on tap.

Vicodin and Budweiser.

Oxycodone and ice water . . . Jimmy wins.

I popped the cap on a bottle of Dogfish Head My Antonia....a dry hopped imperial pilsner. I didn't know what to expect for taste. It was a nice golden color with a very thick and creamy head. It was pretty hop forward but had a bit of sweetness to it. All in all it was a great beer I just wish wish it came in 12oz. bottles instead of the almost 25 oz. bottle. I will be searching out a couple more bottles for the fridge.

I can still remember the first time I had one of those.  I had just turned 21 and was new to beer.  I had tried Bass before and the label said it was a pale ale so I saw Burning River and picked up a 6 pack to try.  I almost spit out the first sip and I didn't finish the bottle let alone the 6 pack.  The lesson learned that night was that an English pale ale is not the same as an APA or IPA.  biggrin.gif

Since then my tastes have matured and its one of my favorites.
