an apres ski Keith's India Pale Ale.

Wiped out on what was likely the last run of the season (I knew the lift was closed), fellow I was bombing the hill with zigged when I thought he was going to zag.  I avoided hitting him, but failed to recover balance in time to avoid hitting the snow.  Ribs a little bruised, slight raspberry on forearm.  I think that's a good excuse to have another.

I enjoyed a couple of pints of Flying Dog Garde Dog while watching the SEC championship game today.  The beer was better than the outcome.  rolleyes.gif

I got 3 of those given to me last week (drank one so far, really liked it). Interesting that the ones I got had a wire secured mushroom cork, and seem to be the exact same bottle otherwise. Regional?

Correct. The bigger bottles are corked; the smaller ones have your typical bottle cap.

I always preferred Kentucky bourbon to TN.  Must be because my dad was from Shelbyvillewink.gif

I was thinking about this earlier ... had  "Big Sky Lemonade" at Ted's (Jim Beam, Cointreau, lemonade) so I came home and made my own concoction with Buffalo Trace, Grand Marnier, two lemons, and simple syrup. Not bad.

Both my wife and I were born and raised in Kentucky and I'm not really sure you can call that stuff from Tennessee whiskey.  biggrin.gif

Oh, I'm saving this one. We even have all those ingredients, including Punt e Mes, but I think B&B instead of Bénédictine.

Mount Gay Rum, Eclipse Black, 100 Proof.

Much smoother than I thought it would be.  It's good straight up.  Tonight, since I happen to have some Cocacola left over I'm trying it in a rum and coke.  Not bad that way either.
