Pecketts Inn at Sugar Hill, New Hampshire

I ran across this web page at the New England ski Museum.

http://www.skimuseum.org/timeline.html

I am mainly interested because during the 1930-1931 ski year, their director was Duke Dimitri de Leuchtenburg. As I share his last name, I am interested to find out more about this man. As the timeline says, he also helped design ski trails around the Franconia and Waterville, NH area during the summer of 1933.

If anyone has any information about Duke Dimitri de Leuchtenburg or if anyone has visited and/or skied Sugar Hill I would love to hear your story.

As far as I can tell, the ski slope is a cow pasture. Sugar Hill is a lovely area close to Cannon mt. ski area. I think there's a plaque there. I'll try to get you a photo next timer I'm up there.
