It means to alter the post so that the photo appears on the thread page rather than as a link to another site. It just helps make your photo more easily viewed by those reading the post.
Once you have a photo hosted at a site other than Epic, it's very easy to make it show up on an Epic page. To do it, you go to the page where the photo is hosted and right-click on the image. One of the options in the pull-down menu that will appear is "Properties". If you left-click on Properties, you'll get a dialog box showing a whole bunch of information about the image. Highlight everything listed for "Address:", left-click on the highlighted portion, and then copy it.
Next, go to the thread you are composing for Epic. At the place in the thread where you want the image to appear, click on the litte yellow and black "mountain" icon in the toolbar above the text you're typing. The icon is this one:
When you click on that icon, a dialog box will come up. Paste your Address into that dialog box and hit "okay".
As if by magic, your image will appear in your post rather than a link.
