Jesus, dude, if you were his skis wouldn't you be trying to stay as far away from him as possible? Have some empathy.

In all seriousness, the first time I got on them it was like there was some sort of invisable force pulling my feet down the hill.....and they didn't want to turn either. Combo of fast bases, little sidecut, and daaaaaamp. I've had other stocklis and 200cm+ deflexed skis too, but I guess I hadn't skied those in a while.

But once you get over them and ski them like a straight ski for short turns, they're not bad, and they can even be skied in some bumps. What they really like, though, is going straight down anything.....50-60 mph, they're just hangin' out, asking for more.....straight ran the bottom 2/3rd of lower ovation on boiler plate, conculsion headwall on thin cover windbuff (cracked sidewall on a rock), etc.

Odds?

Unbelievable!
What are the odds that highwaystar is a troll created by heluvaskier?

It's interesting that you would post a defensive argument that only further validates the observation.

Ehhh . . . I think I could pick out Heluva's skiing style, even if he was trying to ski crappy for the character. Unless it's one of his friends . . .

I wish I could take credit for master minding this one... but this is 100% Highway Star. Besides, none of my friends ski that poorly and as a mod I would probably get flagged pretty quickly. So sadly, this thread is really Highway Star... as for his motives... I will leave that up to him to display. i think he has done well at that so far.

Later

vanity. vanity. vanity. vanity. vanity. vanity. vanity. vanity. vanity. vanity. vanity. vanity. vanity. vanity. vanity. vanity. vanity. vanity.

If this character is in fact an artificial internet entity, it's still the expression of one's sick level of vanity.

I understand that this may be difficult, given the twists and turns that this thread has taken, but the topic must continue to be the skiing and analysis and not the person (or an analysis thereof). Check the Terms and Posting Guidelines for reasons why. Any further comment along those lines will be moderated.

I wanted to read some good MA. Read some. Then read some arguments. Then something strange happened.

No, I've just been trying to prove that I wasn't on my inside ski, for about 400 posts.

If that is what you are trying to prove it is going to take a lot more than 400 posts... carry on.

I agree. Not enough reverse snowplow, either.

I did this kind of flailing to stay upright when I was just learning. It took an awful lot of energy. I'm so glad I don't 'rip' now!!

I wasn't going to post this......but it's actually straight out of the super secret PSIA Level IV playbook that they only give out to elite instructors, pro-skiers, scientologists, and free masons....it's a closely guarded secret. They don't even tell level II's and III's, because it countermands half the what they learn and regularly teach to the public. I happened to obtain a copy through....well, I can't tell you that.

Section 4.5.1 - Backseat Skiing

Turns may be performed with 100% of ski loading behind the boot heel if the following criteria are met:

- Must perform a carved, bent ski or 80% non-skidded turn.
- Must be performed on a non-packed snow surface.
- Must not be performed within view of an operating chairlift.
- Must not be performed while wearing official ski instructor uniforms or normal skiing attire.
- Must be performed with the illusion of being out of control.
- Must be dismissed immediately as poor skiing by Level 1-3 instructors.

Ooops....cat's out of the bag now........meow.......

"they only give out to elite instructors, pro-skiers, scientologists, and free masons...."

Which one are you? I'm guessing scientologist. It's a good thing you're skiing those 201 Stockli's. Anything shorter and you probably wouldn't pull out (not that I'm sure you did and just didn't include the next pic in the sequence). Better yet, go with a short twin tip.
