This is ryan, after wiping out. I would post a photo of Gonzo wiping out as well, except HE never even bothered showing up!

Veddy, veddy nice. And THANK YOU, Stewart, for this and for your many other generous acts, not the least of which was showing us how one drinks beer when bent over at the waist.

SS - it is a Canon Digital Ixus from about 3 years ago. I think they are called something like Elf in the US. It's 2.1 Mega Pixel, small, metal bodied camera. I took the images at SL size, which means each original is around 1.7MB. I then reduced them down to post them here for the sake of download speed. The originals look better.
It's a lot easier than carrying my SLR, 3 lenses, multiple films, etc. (and you can switch to B&W, or adjust the exposure and see the effects immediately)

I'm a bit annoyed with myself for not working out how to pot the 360 degree shot of Alta correctly. I guess I should read the software instructions, but it was supposed to open up in a window, and you moved your mouse left or right to see the image scroll around you. I was able to bring the other panoramas together without any problem.

Maybe the next time.
Great to meet up with you in the Pig Pen etc. Hope to see you the next time I'm in town.

The wipeout was fun but Fox, it begs the question, what were you doing with that camera in your hands, and aiming, all those minutes BEFORE?

my guess: waiting.

Nice pics. The b/w seem a little off. Why's that?

ryan,
I notice that in the b/w as well. I'll need to check the originals, it may just be in reducing the image that they lose clarity, or it could be that I messed them up! It was an epic day wen we did Catherine's area etc!

Fox- great pictures! I wish I could have been there. I have the same camera, and am continually amazed at its ability to deliver great exposures under difficult lighting conditions (like very bright sunlight with lots of snow- I would have expected either the sky or the snow to be improperly exposed)

Wonderful pictures, Fox....thanks for sharing them....
