To the administrator,
I can't get into the "general skiing discussion" - any ideas why?
The rest of the forum works fine.
Thanks,
Gary

Garyskr, please tell us exactly what you're trying to do and what the results are, including where you click, and any message that you get.

Self-preservation?

Is it possible that the new ignore feature has something to do with it?
I don't know just a passing thought.

Can you put a complete section on ignore?

Maybe the section put him on ignore:

garyskr, What did you do?

It's a bit unfair. apparently, you can't killfile an adminstrator. I was on a chairlift with another epicski person when we both revealed we'd experienced this revelation.

Now that's funny.

BTW, with all the ignore functions and probably the ability to add more, I can see a day in the future where someone will just log in daily and ignore...

What? The idea that someone would log in here, and ignore everything, cause he already knew it all? He wouldn't be a real skier if he did that...

That sounds like something Harb would say!

When I click on the forum icon, it will sometimes try to load but then goes to a generic windows screen that says "The page cannot be displayed" - try the refresh button, tools menu, etc.
The more that I work with it, it probably has something to do with the firewall????
Thanks

What happens if you click here:

Then hit Control + F5.

Unfortunately, true. It works on the converse as well, though... I can't ignore anyone!

Basically, we do this so that folks don't miss announcements that we want everyone to see. I hope it's not too much of a hardship...

I'm not sure how a firewall would do this.

If you'd like (and you use one of the IM systems), check for me on-line this afternoon (Mountain Time) and we can work through it together.

I also usually get a note from my Norton anti virus software that it has blocked an intrusion attempt. This only happens when I try to get into the "General Forum".
The rest of the site works fine.

Ok, that's pretty weird. I'm online on IM now. Do you IM? If so, click on one of the icons under my number of posts and send an IM to me...

To Steve,
I tried the general discussion forum this AM and it worked! I'm pretty sure that it is something on my end but thank you so much for your interest and response. Really looking forward to meeting you and other bears this winter on the hill.

garyskr, glad to hear! As always, don't hesitate to PM, e-mail, or IM me and we can work on this "real time" to resolve it if it happens again.
