Yep east meet west in an informal improptu one day camping extravaganza featuring Bonni and I from the east, and GarryZ, VA and the "one whose name may not be mentioned on this site ": . We got together for an afternoon and evening (or so they tell me---I believe I had one to many moose drools and don't really remember a whole lot after dinner) of story swappin and VA cooked us up a very tasty meal.
And, nolo, that part where VA said look for the "giant dressed in black" thats accurate! we have a picture where VA is easily a foot and a half taller than I! Yeeps!
Happy Birthday Dood!
I forgot about that. We were supposed to put tents on the dirt, and spare the already dead grass any more trauma. The grass was 'crunchy' and brown, and for all purposes.....merely tinder from my viewpoint.
I did notice that when the tents were taken down the next day that the grass under it was a little more lively because of the moisture trapped under the tent floor. You could see a small square of life coming back to the vegetation. Bad for the grass, indeed!
With the permission of the boys, I'd post a picture, or two. What say ye, Garry and VA?
