I'm not going to put my boots on yet .... decided to buy new boots ... don't want to put on the old boots and start to think that maybe I don't really need new boots afterall.

SkiNut,

I'm in the same boat, think I might want to buy new boots. But I really love my old ones, and maybe just maybe I can get another year out of them.

Good idea. The gloves worked better than the mittens though.

I'm embarrassed to say that back in August I found my old teaching boots (Salomon Integral 8.1 equipe) in the basement closet. The only ski equipment here at the house.

They were covered with about a decade's worth of dust, so I cleaned 'em off and just for grins I stuck my feet in and buckled up. What a contraption of rear entry and buckles - lol. Played with the buckles and got them feeling nice and snug. Then … what the heck … I jumped on my wife's skier's edge and started cranking.

I couldn't help myself and pulled them out again a few weeks ago and did it again. … I just have to throw these things out!
