I loaded both pairs of skis into the car this weekend and headed north - to Intervale, NH. While only the Reverends were mounted, both drove very smoothly. The Reverends would probably be lighter if it weren't for the bindings, but even the light 88oo's felt more substantial as they protruded from the back of the car. They had a nice flex as my gym bag fell across them. The Reverends were clearly stiffer boards. In the rearview mirror it was apparent that the 8800's have a bit more shape, though both seemed to turn equally well as I navigated our Jetta through the turns in Pinkham Notch. Well the Fritschi bindings will be on the 88oo's shortly and I'll be able to give a more balanced review then on how they ride. Sure hope we start to get some snow soon (before I totally lose it). I have a feeling in my bones that this is going to be an epic winter in New England!
