went to dodger stadium last night. dodgers and padres, battling for first place, padres a half-game up before the first pitch.

wow.

dodgers hit FOUR CONSECUTIVE HOMERS to tie it in the bottom of the ninth, then nomar wins it with a two-run homer in the tenth.

the place was beyond nuts. the parking lot was a zoo.

i've never seen anything like it.

comebacks like that make you start thinking.

that is all.

Yankees vs. Dodgers. Now, that would be a series.

Was that a half-empty stadium I saw in the earlier pic? Bring 'em back to Flatbush!!!

Four HRs in a row... zoinks. What's the all-time record for consecutive HRs?

Yeah I saw it on SC. Outstanding! I wish I could have heard Vin Scully call it though!

That apparently is the record, at least for the majors. See:

Coincidentally, the record for consecutive homers by the same player is also four. See: http://www.baseball-almanac.com/feats/feats4.shtml

I can't think which is more astounding -- the same player getting four consecutive home runs, or four consecutive players each hitting a home run. I didn't think they could do that even in something like the Home Run Derby where (I assume) the pitcher is giving them easy pitches.

Vin IS baseball. I did hear Charlie Steiner call it, he is good but should stick to boxing.
