From Alta (where else?) this weekend. You know the old saying, a pic is worth 1,000 words. I'll shut up now.

They're all great but the second one tells the tale! It's about the turns....

I had a gret ski dream this weekend, We were up in the mountains and it was raining, then it turned to snow and it was coming down in those huge chunky flakes and was piling up.

There are about 6-7 different trip reports on TGR from the 16th, one with 3+ feet of pow. British Columbia, I think.

Elevating Not Only The Hair On My Back ..... !

Lonnie,

You've made the best post to date! It measure up to the several calls received by Carbonizmo this weekend to say that:

"Alta was getting snow; Alta has 3 inches; Alta has over 9 inches; Alta has over 13 inches; There going nutz in Utah; It's going top be the best winter for snow if this is setting the pace . . . . I've completed 6000 turns on my ski machine"

Looking forward to this winter using my new AC4 - 184's, maybe you, your friends, Carbonismo, and I can take a few runs together in the deep POW, if this keeps up in November when we make our first trek to Utah.

Any other pictures from the weekend, please post them.

Thanks,

We actually don't want this September snow to stick, as it will form a horrible depth hoar that new snow will not stick to. It would be an epic year all right, for AVALANCHES.
