I know it sounds sadistic, but when I was a racer, after my own run was over, I'd rush back up the hill and watch the later racers attempt to make it through the hairiest part of the course so I could see some spectacular crashes. ha ha It never occurred to me that one day it might be me taking out the snowfencing with my face....
Ah, the innocence of youth!

I think you need a 12 step program

I like my skis lively, but I don't want a ski that can eject me 20 feet in the air if it unloads when I'm not ready. Holy crap.

Yeah that was unbelievable. I was cringing throughout.....

Actually it does make me want to take up ski racing, the sight of those wide-open, well-prepared runs. I love that feeling of butterflies in your stomach when you go over a drop, but I seldom get it these days because I won't go over a drop blind.

Of course, like Bez, I don't see MYSELF crashing, just the other guy.

There's a lot of air force on those skis at that speeds. How much flying practice do these racers get?

That video hurt to watch.

The last crash was the best. Oh that had to hurt.

They don't seem to show the Rhavles one when he litteraly gets catapulted 20 feet in the air, takes all the fencing with him (something like 3 rows of b-net) and just gets up to ski down afterwards, absolutely uninjured. Also, lot sof crashes at Kitzbuelh and Aare it seems...
