My biggest caution: I don't know how on earth they are measuring these things. A 183 barely measures 180. I would have purchased a longer pair online had I known this.
But this is the only...
I got these (184's) on the cheap from an experienced 6ft plus 190 lb. plus powderhound in his late 40's who was looking for a one ski quiver and this was not his ski. I think it might have been...
For dependable snow coverage, you can't beat Snow Summit. Summit is actually half of Big Bear Mountain Resorts so the pass includes Bear Mountain which makes the resort larger than it appears at...

Where is this place? We must be getting close. Eyes anxiously scan the steep canyon walls for any sign of a ski lift. It’s...
One of the largest ski resorts in the world, rich with Austrian history and a traditional approach to skiing. From a gastronomical perspective, the food and beverages are of a traditional Austrian...
Dinner Theatre, Tsavo shows us some of her million vertical feet with Mike Weigle (sp?) heliski north of Kamloops (Joane Heaton and Betsy Bomber look on):
Lunch with the gang at A-basin before Steve and I left for DIA:
(Foreground to Background, left then right: Randy (heluvadad), Heluva, UL, SCSA, Bklyn, Viking Kaj, Steve, DonDenver, Betsy. Missing are me and Vince.)
Heluva and UL hiking above Imperial to access the Lake Chutes. I was so winded and far behind that I'm not visible. Heluvadad has lungs of carbon steel from biking, so he basically ran up and took this photo:
Sorry we missed everybody this past week, Saturday sure was a perfect 10 day in the Colorado High Country!
Thanks to all & a Big Thank You to Greg, Uncle Louie for a great time at LGC III 2007! ( U.L. were on the 2nd floor, you better get BUSY!)
Can't wait for LGC 3.5, in the mean time were going to look for that perfect line......
I'm still trying to learn my photo software, but have managed to burn a disc of unedited JPG's for UL and Cube. If you want hi res JPG's or raw data let me know.

bong, the pictures are terrific! UL and I viewed them all yesterday...it was almost like reliving the day all over again. Thank you SO much!!
A number of Bears contributed towards a Home Depot gift certificate to help with a “few nails” as Uncle Louie begins his next project...new home construction for he and SugarCube. Betsy put together a sizeable LGC3 thank you card for our “leader of the pack” including within some memorable photos of those Bears.
Additionally, two “golden framing nails” were provided to UL and SC representing our Bear support of their new home as well as an opportunity for them to figuratively “hit us all in the head” now that LGC3 is over
1.Betsy and Bklyntrayc hold up just off lower chair 8 glades demonstrating the bluebird conditions and their love of the 94 inch snow base. 2.Betsy captures the LGC3 “all mountain group” at the base of chair 1 just after completing the final bump and tree spree that Over the Rainbow offered up; madmike, Bklyntrayc, SCSA, DonDenver.
I’m always pitching new Bear membership! Here are a number of prospective newcomers perched above Loveland's Cat Walk who are sporting the kind of gear that represents the “new age skier”.
Note the LGC gang's biggest concern of the day was this very band of young rippers skiing our butts off the very first run of the day ...
...Thankfully, someone had to glue a wing back on giving the LGC contingent a chance to ski off in another direction!
Moral of the story:
To be involved you must evolve. (I suppose wearing “wings” at the next LGC event would be really cool):
Looks like I missed some good times on the final days of LGC3, not to mention the inaugural break in of Double D's new screaming green jacket!
Tahoe this weekend was weird. Saturday it snowed, but it was wet snow down low. The conditions @ Alpine Meadows were overcast, snow, and dust on death cookies. I did 5 runs through Pete's Peril's Trees and then called it quits.
Sunday was muy bueno by comparision. Hooked up with my buddies Trevor and Jack and the conditions were firm, but with small stashes of light powder. Only 2 lifts were operating, so we had to do small hikes to the good stuff, but we squeezed out 5 hours of goodness.
Anyway, glad y'all wound up the LGC3 event with smiles and good turns!
Until the next go around...
PS
Looks like I gotta invest in some more garb to compete with Don, SCSA, and Brkln!
