Is there a chart to explain ski parameters?

So I ask this question as a physicist who would love to read for hours but really needs a chart to understand the trade offs in different parameters that are marketed for skis.

For instance, I'm 200lb, 5'9", been skiing for 3 years in Colorado. I've been skiing on Atomic Beta Carve 160's for 3 years. After borrowing longer skis I noticed that I really needed to get longer skis.

What I don't understand is the trade offs between center widths, radii, etc, or really what each impacts. I understand that manufacturers try to play with all the variables on each different ski for different people and conditions.

But does anyone know of a chart that lays out the basic trade-offs in each variable? A chart would help me so much more than reading how to guides and would make it much easier to read the comments posted in this forum. (That's my sales pitch to anyone who was thinking about making a chart but was still on the fence about it.)

Thanks for your help!

Welcome to the best skiing board on the net. I'm not aware of any chart that puts it all together, although Physicsman has smoe pretty neat calculators, diagrams and discussions around here. Clearly at your size and skiing in soft Colorado snow, you are on the wrong ski. I'll suggest that you elaborate on what your skiing objective and terrain are, and I thnk you will bet lots of specific recommendations to demo or buy. So, what areas do you ski, what trails do you like best, groomed or off-piste, speeds, current ability, do you like carved turns or do you slide your turns; all of that will help.

One warning, most people who hang around here become hopelessly addicted to gear, and your question might become which skis (plural), should I be considering.
