Both Atomic and Lange plugs have a fair amount of forward lean. The Atomic RT i tried was the Soft and it was too stiff for me so i can't help you but i can tell you that the Lange has less forward lean than the H17.
You will find Jeff Bergeron's opinion on the stance and fit of the plugs (Atomic, Tecnica, Lange, Nordica) in the links below.
Check out this
link (post #176).Jeff was referring to the Race Pro, not R in the post.
Check out this
link, too (post #24 and #480). In post #24 he is reffering to the Race R. Post #480 is great for Atomic v. Dobie fit and stance differences.

The Atomic is roomier in the forefoot than the H17 and the boot will be comfortable. But that is how it works. The Race R usually requires grinding. I like a boot with a comfortable forefoot and a very narrow ankle/heel and this is why i ordered the RT. It has a lower instep and i really like this because the area where the foot and lower leg come together is responsible for flex quality and feedback. But if you get the Diablo 3 sizes smaller than your shoe size it would work well. My Race R was 3 sizes smaller and i ordered the Atomic in the same size.
If i could, i would get the Dobermann. I can order the boot but it is too expensive and i prefer the Atomic RT Ti.Maybe i will find a pair in Austria. If you want a more upright stance listen to Doublediamond and real9999 (and Jeff, of course
I have to go now.
