Quite a few places COULD be open for the Thanksgiving weekend. Around my area, Killington and Whiteface are usually open. But remember, most likely it's man-made snow, it's sparse and quickly scraped down. Also, since there are usually only a few runs open, EVERYONE is concentrated there. Those that can ski and those that can't!
Just a suggestion for us eastern skiers. Having learned the hard way, don't bring your good skies!
If you have ROCK SKIES, use them! At Thanksgiving time, the ground is still warm and the base is marginal. The rocks are right there lurking, ready to grab your edges and rippppp them off!
