I sucked! I sucked!

Man, that was very humbling. I completely forgot how to make the skis work. I spent more time on my butt than on my skis...and now, I know why they call it "KILLINGton".....my a** is killing me.

I dont remember being THAT bad at the end of last year...

Oh well, that'll teach me to talk trash all summer.

I picked it up after a while, and had a GREAT time, despite the horrendous liftlines, the single trail being open, the poor snow conditions, and a black and blue backside. I was SKIING, at last!!

going back tomorrow!!!

Hey good one LindaA!!! Have some fun for me too eh?! Sure must be nice to be back on the slopes again

Glad I wasn't the only one there who didn't remember anything about skiing. There were a couple flashes of remembering how to ski, but that's it! Other then the curved up end of the skis goes forward. No comments from the twin tip skier gallery, please.

It's all good!

Hey Linda...
One of the times I go up to VT, you want to hook up?

Linda A, it is great to hear that you are out on the slopes. You just have to remember that you never start off, where you ended last year. you will find that it will come back fast. Good Luck & Good Skiing.

thanks fo the advice, ALTApig and KevinF, its good to know its not just me...I figure I must have learned SOMETHING, at least I knew enough to KNOW how bad I was!

This is me:

Linda -
I'm planning to go up on the first weekend in december (11/30, 12/1, 12/2) and the third weekend in December (12/14, 12/15, 12/16)

According to the Almanac there should be good snow then.

We've got a lodge up at MRG so I'll be going there to sleep, but of course I'll need to flexible in terms of where the good snow is at that time.

I'll decide where I'm SKIING (as opposed to sleeping) when the time gets closer.

I was out there for the first few hours at Killington on Saturday and Sunday. I usually quit around 10:00 when the entire world shows up. Sunday morning at 7:45 under the guns on East Glade had some great turns in the untracked snowmaking velvet.

My girlfriend's skiing today while I'm sitting in the office. Grumble.
