The presupposition that every qualified professional instructor who has ever taught is present and accounted for in the hall of Epicski is limiting, at best.
There will be intelligent, experienced professionals who find their way to this fine site for years to come.
Should Stein Eriksen sign up tomorrow, under a monniker equally as light-hearted as yours, say, "triplediamond", would he be called a newbie who has no idea what he is talking about?
What you are suggesting is that the professional "lineup" at Epicski is absolutely full, and that anyone who challenges any established ski educator here is a quack who should not be tolerated.
That is some bizarre logic (or lack thereof). The case I stated has happened, and that was the point of it. Obviously, if Stein Eriksen signed up and gave advice, he would probably say that he was Stein Eriksen if challenged. I'm referring to people who sign up with no qualifications except a big ego, then go in and challenge weems etc with no real basis to do so.
You do not fit the mold of that characterization, as you have established yourself as a mostly cogent poster with good contributions to many topics. Also, you have stated your qualifications, so that also adds to your credibility.
The gross generalization you apply to my post throughout this thread does not follow from the premises I stated.
Fox pretty much hit that point for me.
Where did I imply that epic was full? That argument is purely your own, and has nothing to do with what I said.
I realize that I am coming into this late, and others have pretty much covered it. It was not my intent to say that no new posters could possibly have anything useful to say, or that we have all the instruction talent we would ever need, it was to say that there have been documented cases of new posters who have no idea who they are talking to or what they are talking about driving off established pros who donate their time.
