thanks in advance.
edit--- I mean hiking to snow, for the purpose of skiing on it, of course.
This is easy, CHINOOK PASS! Its just past Crystal Mtn (about 30 minutes past) and currently there is about 12 feet at the road level. You can hike up numerous different peaks and make your climb as easy or difficult as you want. I recommend you go just over the summit on the east side, park at the rest area parking lot and check out the slopes right in that area.
If you need directions:
Go south on I-5 to highway 18 exit (Auburn).
Take the Auburn (hwy 169) exit and drive to Enumclaw.
Go through Enumclaw, left at light (Hwy 410) and go about 40 miles...you are there!
Make sure you take a camera, the view from Chinook Pass is awesome.
Go to my site and view the "PICS" section and you will see some past pictures from Chinook Pass among others.....http://hyak.net
