Ski Movie 2, High Society

I received it in the mail last week and I've watched it about 10 times. What do you guys think about it. I thought it was cool that the running time is about 1 hour 15 minutes, but it isn't very exciting. There are some slides that rip loose and a few other good shots, but it doesn't have the energy that Global Storming and There's Something About McConkey had. They seem as if they tried to give it a plot, but then halfway through the movie kind of forgot what they were trying to do. I don't know, the whole movie just kinda seems out of place and drug out. I'm not saying its bad, just not what I expected I guess. I still recommend it, there is some great footage.

I just ordered Something about McConkey and am expecting it any day now, what did you think of that film?

Ski Movie was awsome i thought...I've watched it 5 times now and i'm still likin it...that line Kreitler does near the end is sic...

Something about Mconkey was the funniest movie i think i've seen in a while and defnitely one of my favorites of last year (tied with Parental Advisory)...I was lucky to see the flick on a big screen at the Banff Film Festival and Scott introduced it too; i didn't know what to expect and was pleasantly surprised...It was fun cause we were hollering n stuff...

I bought it. It was a huge mistake and complete waste of $$$. It took me three tries to actually watch all the way to the end.

There are a few "pretty good" sequences of actual skiing, but the *vast* majority of the movie is guys doing slo-mo tricks off jumps. Don't get me wrong, ski gymnastics are kind of interesting and I admire the people who can do all those flips and twists, etc, but it's not the kind of skiing that I have a lot of interest in.

Bob (two thumbs down)

OTOH, the BASE-jumping footage from Baffin Island was outrageous.

could one of you PLEASE post the soundtrack to the movie. btw, i thought the backcountry was pretty sick, like seths lincolns, etc. but yes, the park stuff did get repepative.

Watch the ending credits if you want the soundtrack. Seth always does Lincoln's, its an awesome trick, but I think I saw enough of them last year in Ski Movie. With the exception of a couple mondo slides that let loose on Seth and Kent, the pond skimming at Squaw and the rail at the end, Ski Movie 2 just seemed to be lacking something, although I haven't pin-pointed it yet (maybe its lacking everything??, i don't know). Saucerboy even got old which I thought could never happen.
