When Freestyle was king in the 70's there was The Ski. Not just The Ski (we will get into the particulars of that in a bit) but also Spademan and Scott Boots. Spademans were bindings that had a brass plate to the bottom of the boot and clamped from the side and actually had no toe piece.
Scott Boots were uber light mid entry.
The Ski were handmade in Sun Valley (YES, Sun Valley) by Bobbie Burns. You will note in the picture there is the old and the new. The white ones are the current generations with the yellow/blue being the old.
If you had this set up, The Ski/Spademans/Scott Boots you had better be good because you were expected to be good.
Cheeseburger Deluxe's were the K2 bump skl from the same generation.
